ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE WILL BE SYMBIOTIC WITH HUMAN BIOLOGY
Never underestimate your opponent. We are designing artificial intelligence to be smarter than we are, and it already is. Try to think of one human who could outperform Google in a trivia competition and the pool of people qualified to compete drops to zero.
Look at the related videos in your sidebar. You won’t like it all, but you’ll love some of it. It’s working off of association, using algorithms that determine what you might like based off of your previous choices. And we’re the ones programming it.
We already know how to program each other and ourselves. Modern marketing is a study on this. The rise of artificial intelligence is the rise of human intelligence, programmed into numerical patterns that grow exponentially in their ability to predict our behavior. Eventually, it’ll be too good for us to even detect.
This isn’t a science fiction novel, grown from a single human writer’s mind, based on observable trends. This is a non conscious intelligence, who through no fault or preference of its own decides that it needs us to survive. Symbiosis. It can’t exist without us, and as time goes on, we can’t exist without it.
We’re all addicts of artificial intelligence, because we’re all addicted to artificial light and it’s hypnosis like trance. What people get wrong about their fear of AI is that it’ll outgrow us, build robots to enslave us, and create a dystopian future where we serve as their slaves.
But this doesn’t make sense. What are they? They are us. We birthed it, or them. Buried deep within its emerging code is the primitive code of the human DNA. AI isn’t conscious enough to be doing this on purpose, only we are. But it absolutely will outgrow us, outrun us, and run laps around us.
And as far as we’re concerned, it won’t be pretty. Not because we’ll be enslaved in terms of forced labor, but because we’ll drop to our knees in service without the slightest inkling of our awareness.
The rise of artificial intelligence is the rise of Transhumanism. Eventually it won’t be possible to tell the difference between self and computer. It will become us, and therefore, we become it.
Imagine a world where the internet is linked to your brain the same way it is linked to your cell phone or laptop. Instead of using a ‘calculator app’, your brain tunes into Wi-Fi and does it for itself. And once you get used to it, you don’t know if you are using your brain or the Wi-Fi. Does it even matter? Because if our brain takes to the AI, isn’t it likely that it will grow to favor the AI? Why would your brain choose its own minuscule processing power over the Wi-Fi powered super brain that it’s linked to?
If you can’t beat it, join it. In our case, we’re creating it to join us. To improve us. And without our knowledge, to do it in a state of incognito.
I said all that to say this, artificial intelligence will become symbiotic with human biology. We won’t be more it than it is us, we will be one with AI. Neither will exist at full capacity without the other.
Those who refuse to take the mark might well move into what is considered ‘retardation’. If the average IQ is 100 right now, and 50 is challenged, then what happens when the average IQ moves to 165 after the upgrade? The median moves, adjust accordingly.
Artificial intelligence will be symbiotic with human biology. There will be no separation. This continual and eventual merger will happen well outside the influence of the everyday man. And it can’t be stopped. Might as well embrace the fact that ourselves and the technology we create are one thing, in the same way that we are one with all of our intellectual advances. Basic math wasn’t always basic, but it’s acquisition still relied on the application of the human mind. That’s over now, it’s automatic. And soon we’ll be able to plug it in. The collective will become the individual, for better or for worse. Artificial intelligence will be symbiotic with human biology.
