DRY ICE MASSACRE CLAIMS THREE
In an accident being dubbed the “Dry Ice Massacre”, a social media influencer’s party trick inadvertently killed three people, including her husband.
Video of the Jackass-esque stunt can be found HERE.
Before we detail what went wrong, let us strongly advise viewers not to try this at home. Swimming in a pool after dumping copious amounts of dry ice into it is a sure way to an early grave. With the public service announcement out of the way, let’s detail the horror of the Dry Ice Massacre.
Ekaterina Didenko has a cool name and over 1 million followers on Instagram. Dope influencers are all about flossing, so she had something major planned for her 29th birthday. First, everyone dressed up in those CDC suits you see in zombie movies, or on news clips about the Coronavirus. Next, they dumped a 55 pound tank of dry ice into the pool.
And they pretty much nailed the effect. The ice was visually impressive in the pool, and partygoers were free to party on in celebration of Ekaterina making it to 29 without dying or killing anyone else.
Instead, they went for a swim and suffered acute carbon dioxide poisoning. This story reminds me of the old Spike TV Show, 1,000 Ways to Die. That show was fantastic, and this story would make for a great segment. They could call it, “Die Ice”, in lieu of Dry Ice. Or they could call it something else.
Anyway, not all sad stories have sad endings. Take this one for example, Didenko’s followers on social media have climbed from 1 million to 1.5 million since the incident!
