FLOSSIN’ – BLOOMBERG BOUGHT CONGRESS
In the South Carolina Democratic debate, Bloomberg made his case for the coveted Gaffe of the Year Award. With perhaps the most gangster flex in the history of the debate stage, Bloomberg made the claim that he purchased the democratic majority in Congress.
There’s a lot of unintentional comedy to unpack here. First, he begins his flub with the line ‘let’s go on the record.’
Okay Bloomberg, let’s.
“I bought that.” is such a great line. It perfectly illustrates the reality of a corrupt cartoon character billionaire attempting to buy the presidency. Bloomberg is Montgomery Burns as a presidential candidate. Here is the full quote, for those who’d like to enjoy the colossal blunder in literary form.
“They talked about 40 democrats, 21 of those were people that I spent 100 million dollars to help elect. All of the new democrats that came in, put Nancy Pelosi in charge, and gave the Congress the ability to control this president, I bought, I got that.”
