Joe Rogan Passes Away Following Accidental Overdose of Marijuana
Joe Rogan has passed away from an accidental overdose of Marijuana. He was found dead in his home following what appears to be cardiac arrest. Rogan, 51, was an avid lifetime user of pot and its constituents. Everything from DMT to LSD. If it was a schedule I narcotic, Rogan would consume it. Not only was he an avid user and proponent of illicit drugs, he flippantly downplayed their potentially dire consequences. Hate to say I told you so, but drugs are bad.
As a comedian, Rogan would likely look back and laugh at the ultimate irony of his death. Following repeated emphatic statements that Cannabis isn’t a lethal drug, that Reefer Madness was a drug war fueled propaganda film, and that the devil’s lettuce was as harmless as oxygen, his ultimate demise lays squarely upon the shoulders of the demon Marihuana.
Despite his vices and delinquencies, from “legal pot” to obvious steroid use, Joe Rogan left an undeniable stamp on the world. His podcast, the Joe Rogan Experience, garnered a massive following and served as the renegade of the contemporary podcast space. Fear Factor sucked, but served as an artistic launching point. As a tenth planet jiu jitsu black belt, he was iconic in his role as the play by play announcer for the UFC. His existence served to illustrate the power of the human spirit, able to prosper even as an admitted junkie.
As a man of many talents, one who excelled in billiards, podcasting, comedy, fighting, commentary, and business, his ultimate legacy will always point back to his untimely ending. If ever there were a case and point, Joe Rogan’s tragic passing will always serve as the ultimate reminder that drugs are bad. Specifically marijuana. The modern day push for legalization of so called recreational Cannabis is a mistake, hopefully Rogan’s death sets the precedent for those eventually considered on the right side of history.
RIP Joe Rogan. We’ll always wonder what you could have been had you reached for the stars rather than the blunt.
