PAY GAP MYTH – US WOMEN’S SOCCER WOULD GO BANKRUPT WITH EQUAL PAY
The US women’s soccer team is better than the US men’s soccer team. There isn’t a rational argument to the contrary, especially after US Women’s Soccer won yet another World Cup. It’s a very simple statement, based on logic, facts, and results. One plus one equals two.
In the wake of their triumph, there are demands for the two teams to receive equal pay. This argument is every bit as simple, also requiring logic, facts, and results.
Social justice warriors are heat seeking missiles for micro aggression. They’re also economically illiterate. As always, their simplistic worldview places them diametrically opposed to the position they claim to stand for. Their demands for equal pay would actually destroy women’s soccer, ending its existence once and for all via bankruptcy. Way to go SJW’s, you’re anti-women.
Ability is one thing, revenue is another. The men’s World Cup rakes in billions of dollars, whereas the women’s World Cup generates a few hundred million. This fully explains any and all ‘pay gap’ discrepancies, and is the definitive end of the debate. World Cup athletes are paid based on revenue, not by an arbitrary barometer of talent or skill.
If US Women’s soccer were paid the same amount as the men, the women’s World Cup would lose money and go out of business. After all, what is the point of an organization holding a tournament just to lose money? That’s correct, there isn’t one.
Social justice warriors should take heed, and recognize that the proper level of analysis is the individual issue itself. Not your preconceived notions of right or wrong, as the world doesn’t capitulate to naive or Utopian worldviews. Educate yourself on the nuance of an issue before being arriving at a conclusion. At this point, SJW’s are the boy who cried injustice, and no one can take you seriously.
