PIMP HAT WEARING CONGRESSWOMAN FREDERICA WILSON IS AGAINST FREE SPEECH
Frederica Wilson is a democratic Congresswoman from Florida, and she recently made statements that make you wonder if she is getting too old for the job. You have to assume that at one point in time she understood the basics of America, things like the first amendment of the Constitution. Write it off as a senior moment if you must, but her outright attack on free speech is frightening nonetheless.

“Those people who are online making fun of members of Congress are a disgrace, and there’s no need for anyone to think that is unacceptable.” Let’s start with this nonsensical sentence. So people who poke fun at members of Congress online are a disgrace, yet there’s no reason for anyone to think that being a disgrace is unacceptable? If that’s the case she’s making, then why say anything at all? “We’re gonna shut them down, and work with whoever it is to shut them down, and they should be prosecuted.” Is she senile or suffering from dementia? Who knows, but she is clearly struggling with her speech. And with her constitutional comprehension.
Wilson believes that the freedom of speech should be stricken away, so long as someone makes a joke about a member of Congress. How out of touch with the people is she? Or is she simply losing touch with reality itself as a consequence of aging? Hard to say.
Making jokes isn’t illegal, as it’s covered by the first amendment. Without breaking laws, how might one be prosecuted? There’s no logical answer aside from the government illegally censoring citizens. This is prescient to me, because I’m one of “those people” she refers to, the ones making fun of members of Congress online.
What else am I supposed to do? When do nothing Congress hasn’t achieved an approval rating higher than 30% in a decade. Or when certain members, cough cough, Frederica Wilson, blatantly fail their oral constitutional literacy test, and threaten so called dissenters with prosecution.
Or when the congresswoman’s speaking voice is so irritating that its sound alone was the disqualifying factor for her job application as an operator for a suicide hotline.
Or when the congresswoman sports a prolific collection of what can only be described as “pimp hats”. Or when the congresswoman wins the always competitive “worst dressed member of Congress” award every year from 2011 to 2019.
What else am I supposed to do?
We’ve all known and been terrified of at least one crazy cat lady in our lives. A cat is a living thing, something you can love. This woman is a crazy hat lady, something I find infinitely more off putting than hoarding cats.
There are unsubstantiated rumors that Congresswoman Wilson suffers from female pattern baldness, using hats to disguise her wigs. A clever ruse.
Lore suggests she went as far as begging to get John Boner to lift the ban prohibiting head coverings during House sessions. She’s either a crazy hat lady or a bald, my hope is for the latter.
Regardless, her comments were simply the mad ramblings of one member of Congress. The first amendment isn’t going anywhere, because the American people will never allow it. Prosecution by the language police for the crime of speech isn’t something she has the power to enact, nor is it something that would stand up in the Supreme Court. But for the love of America, I just thought I’d take a moment to make fun of a member of Congress online to prove it.
